About Mrs. Pierce

Hello!  Mrs. Pierce here.  I obtained a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences in Psychology and Sociology from Texas State University, a Master of Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Psychology, Counseling, and Career & Technology, and I recently fulfilled the final requirements for a second Master of Science in General Psychology with a multiculturalism and theology focus.  I got married to high school sweetheart.  My husband and I have two amazing sons as well as the adored pet Majesty.

 

I love dancing, singing, and last but not least I love spending time with my family and friends. 

I am a total music lover, and I listen to mostly everything from Bluegrass to Hip-Hop and everything in-between.  My ultimate favorite genres would be R&B, Gospel, and Oldie Goldie’s (both Motown & Country Hits).

 

I have been with NYOS since 2010.  Before joining the NYOS Team, I worked at Hendrickson High School (in Pflugerville) where I was a vital part of the transition and vocational program.

My students are the best part of my job. I enjoy helping them find the best within and aiding them in identifying their talents and creativity.  My students discover that success comes with patience, effort, and perseverance.

I look forward to a GREAT year and am so excited about the dual credit course that will be added to our CTE sequence this school year.
