NYOS Charter School—Not Your Ordinary School—is a free, public charter school that was founded in 1998 by a group of parents who wanted more out of education for their children. It is through a commitment to our students, our staff and our academic excellence that we have been able to grow to serving more than 1,000 students in PreK through 12th grade.

As a tuition-free, public charter school, NYOS receives about $700 less per student in government funding compared to traditional public schools. NYOS Charter School's academic results are substantially higher than those of surrounding schools, and as a charter school, we rely on the support of our school community to continue our commitment of academic success.

Multicultural Diversity Fair

In November of 2022, the Education and Training interns will be hosting the 7th annual Cultural Diversity fair at NYOS. This annual event will feature an evening of rich educational experiences that include culture, fashion, and entertainment as we celebrate all the amazing cultures that exist within our school community!
