NYOS Charter School—Not Your Ordinary School—is a free, public charter school that was founded in 1998 by a group of parents who wanted more out of education for their children. It is through a commitment to our students, our staff and our academic excellence that we have been able to grow to serving more than 1,000 students in PreK through 12th grade.

As a tuition-free, public charter school, NYOS receives about $700 less per student in government funding compared to traditional public schools. NYOS Charter School's academic results are substantially higher than those of surrounding schools, and as a charter school, we rely on the support of our school community to continue our commitment of academic success.

Skyward Portal & Resources

Skyward is a Suite that NYOS Charter School uses to manage student records, curriculum, attendance, grades, discipline, reporting and more. Parents will have access to their student's profile after creating a Skyward account.

First-Time NYOS Parents:

Follow this link to create an account in Skyward.
From there select the down arrow next to the home icon in the top-left corner and select "New Student Enrollment."
Complete all steps and submit.

If you currently have a Skyward account for another NYOS student:

Login to Skyward. Select the down arrow next to the home icon in the top-left corner and select "New Student Enrollment."
Complete all steps and submit.
