  • Children at Risk: Top 10 High Schools in Greater Austin Area for 9 Years in a Row, based on the evaluation of 47 public high schools in the seven counties of Greater Austin (Bastrop, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, and Williamson counties). Researchers base their methodology on 14 measures of performance to evaluate how well Austin public schools are preparing students for post-secondary success. Among this is the graduation rate, participation in advanced coursework, and performance on college entrance exams.
