NYOS Student-Athlete Eligibility (2022-2023 School Year)

Eligibility is 65% for only one AP class, all other classes, including PreAP classes, are 70%. All athletes will have a two week grade check that is mandatory so they will always know their grade in class. This also allows the students the ability to regain eligibility faster throughout the season instead of waiting the full time to get to the regaining of eligibility period.

2 Week Grade Checking Period

There is a No Pass, No Play Rule for eligibility at NYOS and there is no exception to this whatsoever. More will be added to the Handbook before the start of all seasons. I will send the new policy that will go into effect and will give a notice for reviewing and signing at that time for all coaches. I will also be discussing this during each team's meeting with their parents and athletes before their season begins.

A student participating in any NYOS athletics program needs to know that it is a privilege and not a priority.  No one athlete is bigger than this program.
