hi students you are watching the video for the week of Monday August 17th and this is going to go your expectations and your discussion for this week which you are being assigned according to your weekly assignments calendar chapter 4 sections 1 and 2 to read in the focus of this chapter is the breakdown of the 13 colonies which you can see behind me on this map this poster you need to understand the different regions and why they are similar and what their differences are and some characteristics of each of the colonies and so this is a great map again to refer to that you already created in your spiraled again if you didn't create stop and you need an additional resources to help you please your teacher there's plenty of maps that can assist you with it it's going to be centered around these 13 colonies and their differences and so my first question to ask you is have you ever been the family reunion okay if you have or family party have you ever met a family member who was from a different state or country this person but you have never you know really truly met them because you live in different part of the country or something want you to think about that person  do you have them in your mind who's that person different from you and if so how was it the way they talked was it the clothes that they wore was it the food that they ate what made them different from you or was it something you know bigger than that with Eric raised different were there schools different think about think about that and I want you to understand and kind of have a discussion today on Monday about how depending on where you live not only Z geography going to be different which will affect obvious your clothing in the food but also the type of people that live there and the way that they make money and different things like that how is it that we all different and What Makes Us unique when we live in different areas  and then I of course want you to be how to identify the distinctions between the three colonial regions again you have New England middle and southern and then being able to describe there anomic political and social differences is really the goal for this section so you do have an independent assignment this week which is 8 pie charts that were on page 108 and 109 those are not online unfortunately so you do need to make you use the book in class for that but essentially here's what you're creating you have the New England colonies of the description and the way that they have their economic products  you can fit them all in one page or you can just like I didn't do two different pages then you have the middle is and then the southern colonies as well and so you'll notice the pie chart is going to show you different economic features and so you want to make sure you understand that get that and that you notice those differences and again if you need any assistance please talk to your teacher and just keep on rocking on I know class is picking up and expectations are getting faster and you might feel again like while there's a lot of work but there's no excuses you always have time you always have to make time and remember everything is on my website all right have a great day have a great week see you soon
