Parent Involvement at NYOS

Handing holding up hearts with the words "Not your ordinary giving."

At NYOS Charter School, we love opportunities for parent involvement! Parents/guardians can support NYOS in the following ways:

Donating to NYOS:

NYOS provides innovative, high-quality, and individualized learning opportunities while keeping our class sizes small. These offerings can be rivaled by private schools, but NYOS is a free charter schools that doesn't charge a tuition!

As a tuition-free public charter school, NYOS receives less per student in government funding than traditional public schools. This means that your support is CRUCIAL in allowing us to continue allocating resources towards our commitment to academic excellence.

Joining the PTA:

The NYOS PTA, a not-for-profit organization that consists of parents, grandparents, teachers, and community members just like you!

Our PTA organizes school events and fundraisers like Jag Fest, Culver's Night's, and a Fun Run. Through these fundraising efforts, NYOS PTA is able to provide assistance for things like technology, student programs, supplies, equipment, and teacher appreciation opportunities.

As a PTA member, you're not required to attend all PTA meetings or school events, but you will be able to support our school community by voting on annual fund proposals. You'll also be able to take advantage of a variety of local discounts! After the first day of school, go here and complete the following steps become a NYOS PTA member:
