Statewide STAAR Testing Outage

This morning, we received communication from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) that there is a statewide outage for STAAR testing today, Tuesday, April 6th.
 
TEA and the testing vendor, ETS, are investigating the situation. We have been instructed to use our best judgement. Our students have been very patient, but with no clear indication as to when the problem will be resolved, we released today's testing students from testing. Students will have another testing opportunity to take the 7th Grade Writing STAAR assessment on Tuesday, April 20th. We will proceed with the same safety and testing protocols during this next testing administration.
 
Please see below for communication from the Texas Education Agency:
 
"Earlier today, districts experienced connectivity issues with the STAAR Online Testing Platform (SOTP). ETS posted updates to the STAAR Assessment Management System dashboard every 10 minutes to keep districts apprised of the progress in resolving the issue. At this time, connectivity issues with the SOTP have not been resolved. Work is continuing, and an update with be provided no later than 5:00 a.m. tomorrow.
 
If your students have been able to access the test, they should continue testing. If your students have not been able to access the test, they should be dismissed from testing until the issue has been resolved."
