NYOS Charter School—Not Your Ordinary School—is a free, public charter school that was founded in 1998 by a group of parents who wanted more out of education for their children. It is through a commitment to our students, our staff and our academic excellence that we have been able to grow to serving more than 1,000 students in PreK through 12th grade.

As a tuition-free, public charter school, NYOS receives about $700 less per student in government funding compared to traditional public schools. NYOS Charter School's academic results are substantially higher than those of surrounding schools, and as a charter school, we rely on the support of our school community to continue our commitment of academic success.

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year!

I am honored to join the elementary team as an Assistant Principal. I am not entirely new to NYOS in that two of my children spent their entire K-12 education with NYOS.

Throughout my professional career at charter and public schools, I have served in a variety of roles including classroom teacher, Math department lead, 10 + years assistant principal and Summer School principal. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

I have a track record of supporting and coaching teachers to ensure that scholars receive a quality education and academic experience.

I’m looking forward to meeting everyone and an amazing year with NYOS. It’s a great time to be a Jag!
