Not Your Ordinary School

NYOS is a public school serving students in grades Pre-K through 12 who are intent on college preparedness.  Highly motivated students exceed academic standards through research-based and innovative instructional strategies.  The heart of the NYOS experience is the strong relationships that our students enjoy with their teachers, administrators, and fellow students.  Feeling a strong sense of belonging, NYOS students possess the freedom to observe and participate in every facet of their education in a supportive and caring environment.  Students serve the greater community to enrich their classroom learning.  Hand in hand with parents, NYOS builds motivated, responsible, compassionate thinkers prepared to take their place in the global community.
