Dr. Mechiel Rozas, Superintendent
Dr. Mechiel Rozas is the Superintendent of NYOS schools. Prior to joining NYOS, Dr. Rozas worked for over 30 years in large and small school systems in Texas in various roles from bilingual teacher, instructional leader, principal, district director, to Superintendent. She holds a Doctoral of Education from the University of Texas and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Houston Baptist University.

Julie Atchley, Chief of Schools
Julie Atchley joined NYOS Charter School in 2005 and served as the middle school/high school principal for seven years. She has more than 25 years of experience in education and more than 20 years of experience in administrative leadership. Julie holds a Master of Educational Administration from Texas State University and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Oklahoma State University.

Derek joined NYOS Charter School in 2023. Before joining NYOS, Derek had 25 years of diverse experience, including venture capital, entrepreneurship, and school operations.Derek holds a Master's from The American Graduate School of International Management and Bachelor Degrees in History and Russian Language.
