NYOS Charter School—Not Your Ordinary School—is a free, public charter school that was founded in 1998 by a group of parents who wanted more out of education for their children. It is through a commitment to our students, our staff and our academic excellence that we have been able to grow to serving more than 1,000 students in PreK through 12th grade.

As a tuition-free, public charter school, NYOS receives about $700 less per student in government funding compared to traditional public schools. NYOS Charter School's academic results are substantially higher than those of surrounding schools, and as a charter school, we rely on the support of our school community to continue our commitment of academic success.

CHAMPIONS TOUR

What: CHAMPIONS TOUR
When: 1/17/2017, 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Where: Lamar Campus

This is a 1 hour "mission statement in motion" tour that offers the opportunity to view our mission statement in motion. It’s a chance to meet our Executive Director, Kathleen Zimmermann and her Senior Staff employees. The event is hosted by our Development Director, Denice Brooks. The tour will consist of walking the Lamar campus, visiting a few classrooms as well as enjoying an informative question and answer segment at its conclusion.
