NYOS Charter School—Not Your Ordinary School—is a free, public charter school that was founded in 1998 by a group of parents who wanted more out of education for their children. It is through a commitment to our students, our staff and our academic excellence that we have been able to grow to serving more than 1,000 students in PreK through 12th grade.

As a tuition-free, public charter school, NYOS receives about $700 less per student in government funding compared to traditional public schools. NYOS Charter School's academic results are substantially higher than those of surrounding schools, and as a charter school, we rely on the support of our school community to continue our commitment of academic success.

Who: Current 8 – 11th Grade Students and Parents

When: Thursday, January 12 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:15 p.m.

Where: NYOS Cafeteria

We hope you join us for an evening full of information. We will start with a general session that will be followed by a multitude of breakout sessions.

Some of the breakout sessions will include:

·         AP and Pre-AP classes and expectations

·         PSAT Scores

·         ACC Information Session

·         Electives Information
