Volunteer for Lunch Duty

Have you signed up as a Lunch Duty Volunteer? Please read the following helpful hints prior to your volunteer shift.

Preparing for Duty

  • Please wear sunscreen and/or a hat and comfortable outdoor clothing. 

  • It is very important to arrive 10 minutes early in order to help ensure the space is ready before the first seating of students during lunch. 

  • Upon arrival, please check in at the reception area of Building 1 (Elementary Building) and sign in on the tablet using your driver's license or passport.

 How It Works

  • Multiple classes come out during each lunch and every class has a predesignated zone. We assign a lunch monitor to each zone.

  • Once you're checked in we will take you to the zone where you are needed most. You will not automatically be assigned to your child's zone.

  • At the end of the lunch session students will throw away their trash and line up to go to recess. You will continue to monitor students for around 10 minutes until their teacher takes them back to class.

  • You will head back inside and repeat this process until lunch is complete.
