Welcome to NYOS Food Service Department website. As part of our education program, NYOS participates in the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs. Our food service program is under the guidelines and policies set forth by the United States Department of Agriculture and state agencies that monitor compliance.

The NYOS cafeteria is looking forward to serving your child(ren) breakfast and lunch each day! We offer Free and Reduced meals for students who qualify. It is important for those who qualify or for those who think they may qualify, to complete the required application and submit as quickly as possible. If your child was on the Free and Reduced Program last year you will still need to fill out a new application for this year. These forms will be available in the registration packet or you may stop by the front desk or cafeteria to pick one up. Families who currently receive government assistance should submit their paperwork with the application. Until Free and Reduced applications are approved in the food service office, parents are responsible for any meals eaten, and charged into the student account.

NOTE: NYOS is in the process of changing our Food Service payment solution from RevTrak to School Café. Starting February 1st, 2023 food service processing will go through our new Point of Sales system which is run by School Café. Attached are the instructions for how Parents/Guardians and their students can register with School Café at Please follow the attached instructions to set up your account with School Café.

Please note that you will need to follow the “Add Student(s)” instructions for each child enrolled at NYOS Charter School in order to be able to add funds to their individual accounts. To set up a student on your account, you will need your student’s First Name, Last Name, and Student ID Number. This information can be found in Skyward.

All NYOS Food Service transactions will go through School Café. No cash or check options will be available after February 1st, 2023. All current positive balances in RevTrak and/or Skyward will be automatically transferred to School Café by January 31st, 2023. All negative balances will be addressed through RevTrak and/or Skyward over the next 30 days.

You do not need to reapply for free and reduced meals if you are already in our current system. However, if you are not currently in our system as free and reduced and wish to apply for assistance you may do so in the School Café portal.
