Marketing & Enrollment

The Marketing & Enrollment Department at NYOS Charter School is dedicated to supporting our students, families, and school community through enrollment services, communications, marketing, and community engagement. We work to make the admissions process smooth, share important school news and events, strengthen connections with current and prospective families, and build meaningful partnerships throughout the greater Austin community. We also support fundraising initiatives and volunteer engagement that help enhance educational opportunities for our students. Community Outreach

Community Outreach can help with:

  • Sharing school news, event updates, and important announcements
  • Coordinating volunteer opportunities and service hours
  • Organizing campus tours and open house events for prospective families
  • Managing the school’s website and social media communication
  • Supporting family engagement events and fundraisers
  • Responding to general questions or directing you to the right department
  • Promoting community partnerships and local sponsorships

The Registrar can help with:

  • Student applications, lottery, and waitlist management
  • New student enrollment and re-enrollment assistance
  • Processing student withdrawals and transfer records
  • Updating student contact and demographic information
  • Managing and providing access to transcripts
  • Maintaining official student records 
  • Maintaining attendance reports and records

Fundraising

The Fundraising Department exists to ensure that every NYOS student has access to the resources, technology, and opportunities they need to succeed. Our mission is to raise essential funds that go beyond what our limited public funding provides, supporting initiatives such as classroom technology, curriculum enhancements, teacher professional development, student programs, facilities improvements, and safety upgrades.

What We Do

  • Strategic Fundraising Campaigns: Coordinate annual giving drives, special events (like Bingo Night, the Golf Tournament, and community fundraisers), and campaigns such as Amplify Austin Day and Giving Tuesday.

  • Donor Relations: Build strong relationships with families, local businesses, and community partners. We track gifts, send timely acknowledgments, and steward donors to ensure they see the impact of their support.

  • Volunteer & Community Engagement: Collaborate with parents, staff, and community members to create fundraising opportunities, gather in-kind donations, and celebrate the power of collective giving.

  • Grant Seeking & Sponsorships: Identify and apply for grants and corporate sponsorships to expand funding sources.

  • Transparency & Stewardship: Maintain accurate donor records, provide tax-deductible receipts, and share regular updates about how contributions make a difference for students and staff.
