You have a unique opportunity next Wednesday, January 28, to meet and exchange ideas with Austin area and State lawmakers about the importance of charter schools and equitable issues impacting our students and our schools. NYOS Charter School, TX Charter School Association and five other local charter schools are hosting a collaborative Town Hall Meeting Wednesday, January 28 at KIPP Austin. The Town Hall is a great chance for us to gain legislative support for NYOS and some of our unique needs as a charter school. It seems many of our state lawmakers are still unaware of the important role we play for students like yours. NYOS is one of the most highly rated schools in the Austin area and your voice is significant! To assist with transportation, NYOS will take families on our school bus. We will depart NYOS at 5:20 p.m. ALSO – Pizza and child care will be provided if you would like to take your children. We’ve included flyers if you would like more information. This is a great help to the 4^th grade teachers and ensures we are able to do interactive science experiments.
