NYOS Charter School—Not Your Ordinary School—is a free, public charter school that was founded in 1998 by a group of parents who wanted more out of education for their children. It is through a commitment to our students, our staff and our academic excellence that we have been able to grow to serving more than 1,000 students in PreK through 12th grade.

As a tuition-free, public charter school, NYOS receives about $700 less per student in government funding compared to traditional public schools. NYOS Charter School's academic results are substantially higher than those of surrounding schools, and as a charter school, we rely on the support of our school community to continue our commitment of academic success.

Parents are invited to attend the upcoming Elementary Parent Orientation Night to learn more about classroom procedures, curriculum expectations, study trips, volunteer opportunities, and more.

PreK 4:30 - 5:00 PM - Classrooms
Kinder 5:00 - 5:30 PM - Gym
1st Grade 5:30 - 6:00 PM - Classrooms
2nd Grade 5:45 - 6:15 PM - Library
3rd Grade 6:00 - 6:30 PM - Gym
