Dress Code / Uniform
There is a close relationship between high standards of dignity and pride and proper grooming which all contribute to an appropriate learning environment. Modesty will be the dominant feature in all clothes. Attire shall be clean and inoffensive. Students and parents share in the responsibility for proper grooming of the student; however, the campus administrator has the final authority concerning propriety of clothes, hairstyle, and jewelry.
General Expectations

Students are expected to follow the uniform/dress code standards on campus, on study trips, and at other school activities.

Hats, hoods, and scarves are not permitted to be worn inside. Head coverings should not cover student faces. Headwear worn for religious purposes is acceptable.

Students with sensory issues that require modifying the uniform may request an exception. They must provide medical documentation to administrators with the request.

Piercings (8th-12th Only) Small facial piercings are ok. No large hoops or large gauges (large=over 16mm or ⅝”). Tapers or spiked gauges are not allowed.

Monday-Friday for 9th-12th grade students and Fridays for all other grades are "free choice" but students must follow the dress code standards provided in the handbook.
- Administrators, sponsors, coaches, or other persons in charge of an extracurricular activity (or curricular activity such as a concert) may also regulate the dress and grooming of students who participate in school activities. Designated group or team apparel may be designated.
Dress Code Standards & Guidelines
Clothing must:

Be clean and inoffensive.

Cover the abdomen, chest, and undergarments at all times.

Shirt Straps must be 3 fingers in length

Shirts with deep cut openings or that are sheer are not allowed

Clothing, accessories, or tattoos with references to alcohol, drugs, sex, tobacco, vulgar language, violence, gang-related affiliation, or other symbols that detract from the learning environment are not allowed.

Bottoms must be appropriate. All shorts, skirts, skorts, jumpers, and dresses must extend to mid-thigh or longer when standing.

Athleisure tights or leggings worn instead of pants are not allowed

Pajamas, bedroom attire, or slippers are not allowed.

Shoes must be closed-toe shoes, except for PE when tennis/athletic shoes are required.

Allow hats and head coverings outside of the school buildings, provided they do not obscure the face. Religious and cultural headwear is always acceptable both inside and outdoors.
