Who We Are
NYOS Charter School—Not Your Ordinary School—is a free, public charter school that was founded in 1998 by a group of parents who wanted more out of education for their children. It is through a commitment to our students, our staff and our academic excellence that we have been able to grow to serving more than 1,800 students in PreK through 12th grade.
Our Mission
At NYOS Charter School, we educate the whole student. We foster a collegial Pre-K – 12 program that challenges each learner with rigorous academics, innovative strategies and expectations for civic engagement.
