Contributing a More Diverse, Equitable, Inclusive, and Just World: NYOS Recommits in Support of Our AAPI Community

Recently, we all learned of the killings of eight individuals in Atlanta, which included the tragic lost lives of six Asian women. This devastating and horrific event marked yet another act of violence among a string of alarming incidents that have taken place over the past year targeting Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders (AAPI). As NYOS Charter School continues to work towards steps of anti-racism, we remain committed to addressing practices and policies in such a way that all students, staff, and families feel safe and welcomed. This document is developed from our most recent DEI Statement, detailing the anti-racism commitment that NYOS Charter School continues to make.
