NYOS Charter School—Not Your Ordinary School—is a free, public charter school that was founded in 1998 by a group of parents who wanted more out of education for their children. It is through a commitment to our students, our staff and our academic excellence that we have been able to grow to serving more than 1,000 students in PreK through 12th grade.

As a tuition-free, public charter school, NYOS receives about $700 less per student in government funding compared to traditional public schools. NYOS Charter School's academic results are substantially higher than those of surrounding schools, and as a charter school, we rely on the support of our school community to continue our commitment of academic success.

Survey Link Coming Soon!

COMING SOON! Feedback for our strategic planning process. Beginning Monday October 23rd we will be seeking feedback from ALL staff, ALL families, and students grades 6-12 via a survey. The survey link will be included in next week’s “What’s Up Wednesday” for staff and via email to families and students early next week. Our planning partner Bloom Planning will use the HRS data along with this upcoming survey to support us in our strategic prioritization. We appreciate your help and input.
