NYOS Charter School—Not Your Ordinary School—is a free, public charter school that was founded in 1998 by a group of parents who wanted more out of education for their children. It is through a commitment to our students, our staff and our academic excellence that we have been able to grow to serving more than 1,000 students in PreK through 12th grade.

As a tuition-free, public charter school, NYOS receives about $700 less per student in government funding compared to traditional public schools. NYOS Charter School's academic results are substantially higher than those of surrounding schools, and as a charter school, we rely on the support of our school community to continue our commitment of academic success.

STAAR & EOC Exams

What: STAAR & EOC Exams
When: 12/8/2021

9th-12th graders who who did not pass their End of Course exams last school year or who missed an exam due to COVID-19, will take these exams. This also applies to any new students at NYOS who fall under these same categories.
