NYOS Charter School—Not Your Ordinary School—is a free, public charter school that was founded in 1998 by a group of parents who wanted more out of education for their children. It is through a commitment to our students, our staff and our academic excellence that we have been able to grow to serving more than 1,000 students in PreK through 12th grade.

As a tuition-free, public charter school, NYOS receives about $700 less per student in government funding compared to traditional public schools. NYOS Charter School's academic results are substantially higher than those of surrounding schools, and as a charter school, we rely on the support of our school community to continue our commitment of academic success.

What: Giving Tuesday

On Tuesday, December 3rd, donations that NYOS receives will support our need for additional STEAM resources across all grade levels. STEAM resources (science, technology, engineering, art, & math) encourage problem solving, curiosity, and critical thinking – skills that are all essential in preparing our students for post-secondary paths. We’re excited to share that when you donate to NYOS this Giving Tuesday, your donation will be MATCHED 4:1 by The KLE Foundation!

This means:

A $20 donation becomes $100!
A $100 donation becomes $500!
A $200 donation becomes $1,000!
