NYOS Charter School—Not Your Ordinary School—is a free, public charter school that was founded in 1998 by a group of parents who wanted more out of education for their children. It is through a commitment to our students, our staff and our academic excellence that we have been able to grow to serving more than 1,000 students in PreK through 12th grade.

As a tuition-free, public charter school, NYOS receives about $700 less per student in government funding compared to traditional public schools. NYOS Charter School's academic results are substantially higher than those of surrounding schools, and as a charter school, we rely on the support of our school community to continue our commitment of academic success.

Monday, October 28th: Proud to be Drug-Free Day (wear red)
Tuesday, October 29th: Give Drugs the Boot Day (wear western attire)
Wednesday, October 30th: Team up Against Drugs Day (wear a team shirt or jersey)
Thursday, October 31st: Sock it to Drugs Day (wear crazy socks)
Friday, November 1st: NYOS is Drug-Free Day (wear at NYOS t-shirt)
