NYOS Charter School—Not Your Ordinary School—is a free, public charter school that was founded in 1998 by a group of parents who wanted more out of education for their children. It is through a commitment to our students, our staff and our academic excellence that we have been able to grow to serving more than 1,000 students in PreK through 12th grade.

As a tuition-free, public charter school, NYOS receives about $700 less per student in government funding compared to traditional public schools. NYOS Charter School's academic results are substantially higher than those of surrounding schools, and as a charter school, we rely on the support of our school community to continue our commitment of academic success.

Senior Parents, please join us for our Senior Robing Ceremony at the St. James Baptist Church (1812 EM Franklin Ave, Austin, TX 78721).

Our Robing Ceremony is an opportunity for our Seniors to present a note of gratitude to a NYOS teacher or staff member who has made an impact on their lives.

Attire for the Robing Ceremony is business casual.
