NYOS Charter School—Not Your Ordinary School—is a free, public charter school that was founded in 1998 by a group of parents who wanted more out of education for their children. It is through a commitment to our students, our staff and our academic excellence that we have been able to grow to serving more than 1,000 students in PreK through 12th grade.

As a tuition-free, public charter school, NYOS receives about $700 less per student in government funding compared to traditional public schools. NYOS Charter School's academic results are substantially higher than those of surrounding schools, and as a charter school, we rely on the support of our school community to continue our commitment of academic success.

Do you have friends and family interested in NYOS Charter School? NYOS is hosting two Open House opportunities on Thursday, January 18 and Tuesday, February 13 from 9-11am and 5-7pm on each date!

Each Open House opportunity will take place at both our Kramer AND Lamar campus and will provide families with tours and Q&A sessions.Spread the word about how much you love NYOS and we'll see everyone there!
