About me: I am excited to join the NYOS team this year! This is my second year at NYOS, my sixth as a teacher.  I have taught most Social Studies courses, including four years of AP World History and one year of World History.  I have a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Texas at Austin and a Masters in History from the University of Texas at San Antonio.  I love teaching—it is very rewarding for me to watch students grow as learners and citizens in my classroom.  In addition, I try my best to model a strong work ethic and respect for others in my classroom.  Parents, please feel free to contact me at any time (mstroube@nyos.org).  I will do my best to respond within 24 hours (except on weekends).

Tutorial Times for 2018-2019: Mondays-Wednesdays during lunch, homeroom once/week (day TBD), or by appointment.
