NYOS Charter School—Not Your Ordinary School—is a free, public charter school that was founded in 1998 by a group of parents who wanted more out of education for their children. It is through a commitment to our students, our staff and our academic excellence that we have been able to grow to serving more than 1,000 students in PreK through 12th grade.

As a tuition-free, public charter school, NYOS receives about $700 less per student in government funding compared to traditional public schools. NYOS Charter School's academic results are substantially higher than those of surrounding schools, and as a charter school, we rely on the support of our school community to continue our commitment of academic success.

In Russian Culture Club, we learn about Russian culture through literature, film, and language with the intent of fostering international connection and understanding and, of course, having fun! We meet every other Tuesday at lunchtime in Ms. Elliott's room, and would be happy to accept anyone 10th-12th grade into our ranks. До скорого! (See you soon!)
