Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year!
I'm excited to begin this year in new roles as both High Reliability Schools (HRS) Support Staff and Math Innovation Zones Project Manager! Prior to this year, I spent six years as a NYOS 2nd/3rd grade teacher.
In the HRS role, I support the systematic processes required to achieve and sustain Marzano High Reliability Schools certification in Levels 1-5. You can read more about the HRS model here.
As the Math Innovation Zones (MIZ) Project Manager, I work closely with school staff and the Texas Education Agency to fulfill the Fidelity of Planning and Fidelity of Execution requirements of the Math Innovation Zones Pilot Grant. The Math Innovation Zones program seeks to improve academic outcomes in math in Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade to ultimately increase 8th grade Algebra I preparedness and participation.
