The Children at Risk (Children at Risk) foundation has ranked NYOS as one of the TOP TEN SCHOOLS during the last four years-- based on the evaluation of 47 public high schools in the seven counties of Greater Austin (Bastrop, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, and Williamson counties).
Researchers based their methodology on 14 measures of performance to evaluate how well Austin public schools are preparing students for post-secondary success. Among them was the graduation rate, participation in advanced coursework, and performance on college entrance exams.
