Dr. Alan Seay, Ed.D. ,  Interim Executive Director
He is a retired school administrator who spent 34 years in Texas public schools. During that time he was a teacher/coach, a campus principal, assistant superintendent and superintendent in traditional public schools before becoming Superintendent/CEO of A+ Charter Schools in Dallas. After his retirement, and before coming to NYOS now, he served at three charter schools as their interim superintendent/CEO. He is involved in the Texas charter school community and is a TEA registered charter school board trainer and have traveled the state providing charter school board training. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Midwestern State University, a Masters of Education from Abilene Christian University and a Doctorate of Education from University of North Texas.

Julie Atchley, Chief of Schools
Julie Atchley joined NYOS Charter School in 2005 and served as the middle school/high school principal for seven years. She has more than 25 years of experience in education and more than 20 years of experience in administrative leadership. Julie holds a Master of Educational Administration from Texas State University and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Oklahoma State University.

Derek joined NYOS Charter School in 2023. Before joining NYOS, Derek had 25 years of diverse experience, including venture capital, entrepreneurship, and school operations.Derek holds a Master's from The American Graduate School of International Management and Bachelor Degrees in History and Russian Language.
