NYOS Charter School—Not Your Ordinary School—is a free, public charter school that was founded in 1998 by a group of parents who wanted more out of education for their children. It is through a commitment to our students, our staff and our academic excellence that we have been able to grow to serving more than 1,000 students in PreK through 12th grade.

As a tuition-free, public charter school, NYOS receives about $700 less per student in government funding compared to traditional public schools. NYOS Charter School's academic results are substantially higher than those of surrounding schools, and as a charter school, we rely on the support of our school community to continue our commitment of academic success.

The NYOS School Community is invited to join us for the 3rd annual NYOS Rocks Concert & Pancake Breakfast on Thursday, July 23, 2015 from 7:30-9:00 a.m. in the Kramer Gym. There will be live music, food, and information about the NYOS PTA, Club ACE, Karate, Young Guns Running Club and lots more!
