The Results are In!  In the 2012 Readers' Favorites Poll hosted by Austin Family  NYOS was voted Favorite Charter School.  The official results were published in the July issue of Austin Family.


Congratulations Rudy Lopez! Mr. Lopez won the Spring 2012 RL Moore Award for Mathematics. This award recognizes the bestinquiry-based lessons taught by a UTeach Graduate since graduation.   He follows in the footsteps of NYOS’s  Daniel FitzPatrick who won the award in 2009.

NYOS was once again recognized as one of the Top 5 high schools in the Austin-area by Children at Risk, a Houston-based research firm that ranks public schools across Texas. NYOS took Rank #3 this year.    Children At Risk calculated the rankings using a combination of graduation rates, standardized test scores, AP, Advanced course and dual-enrollment course completion, select TAKS data, and other variables.
